Biography

Gary A. Norcross

Chief Operating Officer
Gary Norcross, as president of Fidelity Integrated Financial Solutions (IFS), is the company's senior-most executive responsible for the community banking, credit union and savings institution market segments. With a reputation of being intensely customer focused while maximizing the performance of his business units, Norcross has taken Fidelity IFS from fewer than 100 to more than 1600 clients since assuming the leadership role in 1996.

Norcross believes in establishing a sound, well-focused business strategy from the start, and then staying the course so it can achieve its objectives – an approach that has worked well for Fidelity IFS, which has enjoyed yearly double-digit growth under his direction.

His strong leadership recently resulted in the acquisition of Aurum Technology, a significant move that increased the division's size to almost 1900 employees, 1600 clients and $300 million in annual revenues. The acquisition brings the division closer to Norcross' vision of Fidelity IFS as an undisputed, industry-recognized leader in total solutions for community banks, credit unions and savings institutions.

With a career start in the mortgage business, Norcross joined Systematics, Inc. in 1988 as a systems engineer. He quickly moved into management roles in software development and client leadership, and his rapid rise continued after Systematics' acquisition by ALLTEL Corporation in 1991. In 1996, he was promoted to senior vice president/general manager of the company's community bank segment, and shortly thereafter to president of the Integrated Financial Solutions division. He was the clear choice to continue to lead the division upon ALLTEL's acquisition by FIS in 2003.
